I still think it would be easy to do, as glen said, you would only use an auto, an idea might be to get a front wheel drive auto and drive it in reverse. this would have a number of benefits, such as using a non-sincro gear as your drive, having the engine protected at the rear of the car and having a far better turning circle, thats why forklift's do this.
you would only need to armor the areas needing protection like the engine and wheels. no need for roll bars since there would be no people in the cars.
you would have to restrict the weapons to flippers, thwacks, hammers maybe crushing or lifting. _________________ Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has.

bob cat's (skid steer loaders) are very expensive, even a twenty year old rust bucket would e over 2k, same for fork lifts. cars though, all they are are, are, are, sorry. all they are is a cheep base, a $1 drive train and chassis.
like the idea of cutting it in half, I wonder if it would be a little front heavy since usually the engine is over the wheels. _________________ Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has.
