My copy of Inventor has a wiring/piping generator. Never played with it though.
Usually when drawing piping I just use sweeps. Usually its pretty quick, but I haven't tried that many wires or pipes.

it looks to me like they were done by hand. The loom generator in solid works is mainly about working out the lengths of th wires in the loom not so much rendering individual wires as far as I'm aware.
It shouldn't be too hard. In rhino just draw a curve then extrude/sweep a circle along it.
cable ties are another kettle of fish. _________________ Mechanical engineers build weapons, civil engineers build targets

by any chance does someone have these parts cadded for Inventor.
-Ev Warrior
-100W scooter motor
-300W scooter motor
-drill motor
-ibc
or is there a way to import them from rhino and such, i have tried but they just come through as a transparent yellow surface that most of the time doesn't let me turn into a solid.
any of them parts or help on how to convert them into inventor would be greatly appreciated _________________ Barton Robotics Youtube Channel:

When parts come up as yellow in Inventor it is because the part has been modeled incorrectly and the wire model is full of holes, so Inventor can't firgure out were the solid start or ends.
I have all those parts modeled in Inventor, except the IBC because I never planned to own one.

Its best to export with other software as .sat or .step file.
If you only get the yellow surface in Inventor, you can make them a solid using 'Stitch' and 'Sculpt'

just got a complete genuine copy of turbocad for $15 at the shops today, it looks alot like solidworks glancing through the manual so i figure itll be good to learn sw like cads as i just cant get the freaking hang of them.
I tried TurboCAD about 6 years ago, it was ASS.... I took up AutoCAD R14 instead and then Rhino3D after that... _________________ https://www.halfdonethings.com/

$15? Probably worth it.
While I'm here n China I might go out tomorrow and see if I can get a $1 copy of Inventor. Already got a hand full of brand new $1 dvd's and xbox games. Except it's -20 degrees outside, 50 degrees colder then Brisbane.
