I got the micro Rx in and working last night... Wow, this little thing is amazing I get no glitching at all, and can even test it with the radio antenna right in, with a micro Rx! If anyone was planning a beetleweight I really recommend the blue arrow 5ch highly, it's really good quality and only $30 from ozhobby.
Regarding Progress i've remade the frame properly with 1mm steel and got the drives and weapon securely mounted. I just duct taped the rest on to get it running, but it's turning out to be a really nasty little setup
Weight is pretty good at around 700g... plenty of weight for sides and the rear wedge hehe.
Plus I can put really any spinning weapon I desire onto the shaft, such as the steel bar, disks, circular saw blades....
I'll get some photo's up tonight.
EDIT: Here's the pics.
Side view (this will all be covered with side armour soon)
And view of the base (note the mounts for the maxon and the weapon drive, just an O ring with some random pulleys Go the 45c pipe mounts!)
