beetle pretty much done I just need to wire in voltage reg to run the rx of the weapon power.

nice, what are you using for your weapon shaft? I assume youre using skateboard ball bearings too?

I would cut and bend a 1mm piece of polycarb into a wide V shape, place it over the belt and under the leading edge of the battery packs as a tooth-shield/guide.
and
drill a hole in the appropriate place in the top cover, put a longer bolt on the main weapon shaft with a bush and put it through the top cover to give it some support both sides.

Makes it more of a pain to take the lid off, but otherwise, I reckon the first hit is going to flex the base-plate and its bye-bye battery pack.

If you're interested i have an observation, the weapon doesnt seem to get any decent bite into anything, possibly because:

- disc spinning too fast for its size
- teeth are too short
- forward speed is too slow

or some combination of the above

Just my $0.02 if you're looking to improve it Smile

Speed modding the servos alone may fix this problem

Im using a 6 bolt and 2 old bearings out of my derby skates(I think they are the same as skateboard ones).

also I was planing to drill and tap the bolt to hold the cover down
I also have some cf that i ws goin to use as a gaurd just couldnt wait any longer to give it a run Very Happy
