What's this "Sydney phenomenon" I can't recall tap-outs being much different anywhere I have had a match
Tap outs as in I give up don’t attack me any more are extremely rare at Vic events.
Don’t get me wrong I am not saying they shouldn’t exist only that they hardly ever happen.
Being asked by the chief judge / conceding that you are disabled and being counted out while your opponent sits back is the norm down here.
I can remember only one stop attacking me now style tap out and that was when Pyrobot had Black and White pined to the wall and filled him full of gas before touching it off.
The big Robowars event at Sidetracked is a lot different as the interstate bots take part. _________________ Satisfaction is proportional to effort and results.

So who is coming to usyd on the 5th at 6:00 PM? (that's Thursday)
whose bots will be working?
they say this
"We have an interesting issue surrounding OH&S but I may be able to get around that if you can use a bot that wont take chunks out of polished concrete (A scratch wont matter). "
Does anybody have any weapons that wont take chunks out of concrete any more?
They will supply pizza if we are interested ;-> _________________ Mechanical engineers build weapons, civil engineers build targets

might have some form of srimech working as well by then

We are mainly looking at static display, of internal workings.
last time they had 70 people turn up.
We are looking at less this time, but they are adding pizza to the mix.
so its probably somewhere between 20 and 100 people turning up. _________________ Mechanical engineers build weapons, civil engineers build targets

Perhaps we can organise some running repairs with thinner sheet metal? If we can scrounge something like those cabinet sides I brought in and weld or glue them down, that would be better than nothing.

you cant weld to the middles of the tiles because they have all that concrete under them (as far as i can rember anyway)
Its the edges that are lifting that's causing the main problem. _________________ Mechanical engineers build weapons, civil engineers build targets

just like spot weld the corners to each other, that way if it needs replacing should be easy to break the weld and take it off _________________ Barton Robotics Youtube Channel:

the corners are fine, they are bent down and under a bolt head already _________________ Mechanical engineers build weapons, civil engineers build targets
