What ratio are you using with the Banebots 36 mm? What speedo will you use? _________________ So even the rain that falls isn't actually going to fill our dams and our river systems

I am using 25:1 36mm gearboxes. I will be using the IFI Victor 883s till they are needed for the heavyweight when I will swap them for a Robot Power Scorpion XL (the RS-545 motors draw a peak of 25A together).
The US dollar is looking better and better. _________________ Get Some!!!

What happened to the Banebots controllers you or your brother had? And how have they been going? _________________ Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world.

I think I explained their story in the Prancing Queen thread. They weren't really up to the task of controlling the RS-545s at 12V and I wasn't overly impressed. I stopped using them when a wiring fault while trying to use center tapped batteries caused one to take in -12V and killed it. I reckon the Scorpion will be better value. _________________ Get Some!!!

How will you mount your Scorpion? _________________ So even the rain that falls isn't actually going to fill our dams and our river systems

With one thing and another I wont be getting a new speedo yet but I was thinking of simply heatshrinking the whole board minus a few strategically located holes for wires. The swarf protected controller would them be cable-tied to suitably located bracket. I try not to rigidly mount electronics merely stop them from moving too far. _________________ Get Some!!!

Im using the female stabiliser regulater from palmer pursuit, im thinking its the one your currently using. Im wondering about how yours goes with the bottle lying down, with my setup the regularor seems to freeze open consistently whenever my bottle isnt verticle. Do you have some sort of antisyphon thing in ur bottle or not?

heres an idea, with spare weight put some steel on for armour, no polycarb, get steel and weld it on dang it
if u can get armour strong itll be a formidable force even against spinners _________________ Andrew Welch, Team Unconventional Robotics

What's the deal with short piece of vertical tube in front of the wheels? It looks like it will weaken that corner come spinner or rammer. _________________ They say that he crossed the fine line, from insanity to genius.

Well I gave Hellcat its first test drive today and all is good. The switch was a little tricky to start with and the ram doesn't like working under 100psi but thats ok.
To answer questions:
Dreakoth - I use all standard paintball bottles. I need to have the bottle vertical when screwing on the reg but can run in any position after that. Everything does end up with a nice coating of ice after three minutes but that is normal
andrew - Well I have all this steel sheet at home so I will see what happens.
BH Mike - I would prefer not to have that but since I couldn't make the RHS go
through
the drive wheels I had to go over. _________________ Get Some!!!
