New Kiddy

Yesterday at 2:30pm my brother got a new baby boy.

Jonathon Andrie Kerrison.

(yep, the spelling is correct, I think. Well that's what was written in the SMS I got from him)

I'm sure most of you didn't even know Andrew was married. He didn't even tell me until 3 weeks after he did it. He was married earlier in the year in the Philippines and didn't want to tell anyone. He has been in the Philippines for the last 3 weeks which explains were all his Robowars money went.
Baby and wife will stay in the Philippines when Andrew comes back next week.

Well now I am back in the land of flushing toilets and no water.

Yeah it was an interesting year!!

Aside from going to India and America and employment changes (very good and very bad including ending the year unemployed and flat broke) I came across these two.

Well technically Jonathon didn't come along until this year but that is just being picky. Now just need to get their visas processed so I can stop spending all my money on plane tickets.

Jonathon has more hair than you.

When do you think the family will be here?

I have spent quite some time researching the paperwork needed. It seems that all I have been doing the last 6 months is searching government websites looking for potential problems in fine print.
Joena will be applying to migrate to Australia on a spouse visa with myself as the sponsor. Thats a nice 50 odd pages of forms plus supporting documents. If done correctly that should take around three months to process. But we need to work on the fee yet so we're looking at lodging that lot around March so the plan is for her to move here around June/July.
Jonathon is still too young to travel and Joena has planed, with advice from her family, to leave him in the Philippines at first until she is settled here and has found a job. Joena is refusing to come here unless she is able to work and pay her own way and feels it is too difficult to do that and take care of Jonathon at the same time while also adjusting to a new country. So her mum said she will take care of him and after 6 months Joena will return to collect him.
Since I am Australian Jonathon can immediately apply for Australian citizenship and from there get an Australian passport so he is easy.
I'm just buggered that it will be another 6 months till I can see them again. I don't care about that poetic crap about absence making the hart grow fonder and all that, it still sucks.
I have considered moving there for a while but their health care system drives me crazy and it is next to impossible to get robot parts. I like the chicken though.

Buhay ay ganoon.
