There was indeed, I removed it. The groove Nick was referring to was where the circlip was.
Anyway still trying to get the bulk of the robo renovations done so I've put the L5055A aside for the moment.
So today, cool new top plates made, L5055A weapon motor swapped out for the spare with flat ground onto shaft for the grub screw, with some extra mounting tabs on the frame, new mounting solution for the drive ESC's and power switch that provides a small measure of shock mounting, repainted the frame and the disc, and some of the wiring done. Not bad for 8 hours at the rate I work. Pics to follow _________________ <Patrician|Away> what does your robot do, sam

My god, so much dust and cobwebs in here... what the hell is wrong with me
Anyway for those in the know Hammerhead is going to be retired due to attrition of frame damage. Here's the design for the replacement Beetleweight, pretty much got it sorted I think now, always wanted to do this design even though it has it's drawbacks
and because I know Steve misses my pen and paper drawings,
Frame and side armour will all be 1mm Ti, internal components will be housed in a 3d printed box, hoping to get my modified planetary gearmotors going for drives, and weapon discs are 6mm 'bullet steel' 78mm diameter single tooth driven by 180W 2210 brushlesseses.
Havent got a name yet but i keep thinking of scorpions _________________ <Patrician|Away> what does your robot do, sam
