"Ladies and Gentlemen, meet the real life Dr. Emmett Brown, Great Scott!
Truly wonderful and fantastic, and EXCITING! I, for one, welcome our new spidery robot overlords.
You are the coolest guy I have ever seen and I wish you were my dad.

Bit similar to the setup I was designing for my mechanical melty brain
However, IIRC, Brett, you said so your self, unless it has a 2DOF leg, that can be controlled seperately, it's not a walker

Didn't the definition of a walker include the notion of motors stopping and reversing to control movement? _________________ So even the rain that falls isn't actually going to fill our dams and our river systems

For combat robots where builders are looking for a competitive edge, and want the weight bonus traditionally applied to "walkers" without having to actually carry the complex mechanisms the bonus is designed to allow, then yes, tight definitions on what mechanism types qualify for the weight bonus have certainly proven to be necessary.
For someone building a machine where the scales dont determine eligibility, then as long as it looks like a cool walker, who gives a rats ? _________________ Great minds discuss ideas. Average minds discuss events. Small minds discuss people
