Importing a mesh obj into a 3d drawing programme

Hi guys- im hopeing one of you guys know if its possible to import a mesh obj files (like a puppet head design)into a 3d programe (?)then dissect it into two parts with keys on the back of the parts that interlock-so it can be 3d printed and multiple replacement parts can be swapped around-cheers miles
