I name this the gecko class. Its not really new though; we have had a wall climbing bot cleaning the Sydney Opera House for a decade or more _________________ Australian 2015 Featherweight champion

On a far more disturbing note, here is how to be your own robot arena:
Would it be legal to enter a wall climber into the 30lb Sportsman class? I don't think it's mentioned in the SPARC rules.
I have considered in my wilder moments making something that could climb up onto the arena ceiling and drop either itself or a tethered weight on to the opponent. I even started playing with turning $10 Kmart compressors into cheap vacuum pumps and plumbing them into car dent puller suction cups.

If an idea is not specifically denied in the rules, then its up to each event organiser to make the decision - chances are that it would be allowed as Sportsman bots are all about innovation. _________________ Australian 2015 Featherweight champion

Dunno, scratching up the poly would generally be frowned on _________________ Mechanical engineers build weapons, civil engineers build targets
