ah, now you're venturing into the fuzzy realms of edge-physics..a favourite area of mine.
What is "outside" ? That has an assumption that space can exist independantly of matter, time or energy.. which is disputable. In fact, the whole concept of time as a linear dimension may be erroneous in my opinion.
If a photon (light particle) travels at the speed of light, and relativity based time dilation suggests that time slows down infinitely at the speed of light, then then to a photon, it is everywhere in the universe at the same time. It is merely our limited perception of time that causes it to look like a line, rather than a multidimensional hypersurface. much llike looking at something through a slot limits your field of view except along the slots dimensions.
If you consider Fractal Maths, Holography, Relativity, Chaos Theory, Quantum Uncertainty/Entanglement and the like as perceptual manifestations of a deeper multidimensional whole structure, then the "classical physics" view of the universe starts to look decidedly shakey.
Exactly how a supposedly concious super-entity with a discrete personality can exist within or outside this framework, other than as a homeocentric personification of misunderstood forces has not been in anyway demonstratable to my satisfaction this far.
