Just thought id throw all you guys a warning before i talk about it at the builders meet on Sunday.
We are planning a small exhibition event for the 30th of april. This event will not be included in the 2005 season and is just an opportunity to show off your robots to the public/media.
The door charge will be $5 for each spectator. Half the door takings will be split between the roboteers. We are expecting somewhere between 100-150 people and we will have radio advertisments beforehand.
I will be looking at lining up 4 robots as this event will start at 6pm and shouldnt go too long. All roboteers will be required to be here by 5pm.
This is a trail for a new format of event, designed to give you all opportunities to get in the arena and also to compensate you for some of the expenses.

At the Junkyard, Rye beach
Also if its successful, this will be the format for the Middleweight events that i wouldlike to hold. Since it conpensates some of the expence of running a larger bot. Id really like to have a small event like this every second/third weekend.

Well i am defenetly building a middle weight as i only kneed 2 wheels and some steel and i have one. O and a welder lol
This however will be after i finish my feather weight. I still havent decided if i will build my light weight first as the thought of a middle weight is too exiting lol. _________________ Tim Team Reaper.

Brett. Yep it is. Id only want 4 competitors here for the next to make it fairly short. At the builders meet i was going to see who wasent going ot the PicAxe fair thingo. Hopefully we can get a few people who didnt get a chance to come down here on March 19th
If all goes well, we will have exhibitions regularly, rotating which builders come down. I wouldnt expect that everyone would come down for it, BUT if i cant get any contestants to come down, then of course it will be changed.
