Well, i just made my first BEAM robot!
(well, it isnt actualy a BEAM design.. i made it up because all the ones i could find on the net involved solar cells). Its got two cd opener motors with little wheels connected directly to the shaft, driven by a 3.6v phone battery. Its actualy a very interesting robot, and works by spinning supposably on a dime, but it doesn't, and moves around the room (in supprisingly straight lines ). I also thought adding one of my superbright white LED's would make an interesting light show, but instead, the led flashes once when i start the bot, and in interesting patterns when it runs into obsticals. Because each motor and the LED are in parralel, i was quite suprised when this happened, but the battery must not be supplying enough current or something , meh, its way cooler anyways.
I'll post a pic when my camera is working.
Wow! Its actualy a very good obstical avoiding robot! _________________ ( •_•)
