heh, that thing looks like a super heavy version of Inspector General minus the paint job.. _________________ Great minds discuss ideas. Average minds discuss events. Small minds discuss people

Reminds me of when I tried a weapon spin-up for my lightweight - except my test got about a metre off the floor and Took a huge chunk out of my workbench . I am far more cautious now!
What do people think of the angled blade? It has to be tilted at 25 deg. or more and I would think that if it hit something while the blade was on the downwards side of it'srevolution, the reaction would pop Euegene in the air. It will be very interesting to see this bot's battles... _________________ Australian 2015 Featherweight champion

well i'll be able to tell you how it goes as the weapon on draggoonarie is sort of like that in design (round bout 25 degrees or a bit less) but it look rather destructive. _________________ For West ausies interested in robotics email me at: theoneshrug@hotmail.com

it is brandnew it is.
Made by team moon, who made superheavy star hwk which is now starting to be a very dangerous robot. They say it has about the same power in their heavy as they do their super heavy so its gonna be a mean one this is.
Their testing ethods i frown at though cause simple its not worth it being that close and unsafeness as that.
One recoil or mistake and could be somebody's life. _________________ Andrew Welch, Team Unconventional Robotics

lol if B.S. was electricity youd be a powerhouse,
id think that would be what would happen nick, but its not at such a huge angle, id assume it would just jump off the ground and spin around..
have they ever mentioned exactly what is the weapon or drive in it? all the keep saying is its the same as the SHW.. which i dont think theyve said either heh
speaking of artemis ill email you the 4 videos i took of it way back in the day, i found those on the weekend. 7kg of spinning steel is definitely cool _________________ www.demon50s.com - Minimoto parts

Yeah, they have a bunch of "super secret" notices and no detail . From the way the chain drives the weapon sprocket, I'm guessing there are at least two motors in that housing - any bets on them being long Mags?. I would love to know how they do the serrated edges on their hammers; ultra cool and probably quite effective too.
I will be searching for videos of this bot getting hig hits on other bots. If it doesn't get too much air time, I would look at angling the blade on Jolt. I already get huge recoil from hitting low height bots like Cobra and Kang, so a little more would be acceptable if Jolt's weapon got some solid hits. _________________ Australian 2015 Featherweight champion

dont copy american chopper glen u dork.
yeah artemis was sweeeet.
The words they said exactly were "it has the same if not more power in its weopon than our superheavydoes.
I dont know what there using, they havnt said but i thinks a etek for weopon on starhawk (or whatever its called) and drives not sure im guessing mags from speed/power _________________ Andrew Welch, Team Unconventional Robotics

im sure the first version of totally offensive on his build report was an angled blade version, you should have a gander at that.
it would be interesting to see some real internal pics of the star hawk and what not, but it never seems to have that same spin up time as tombstone or ouch which have an etek and the weapon surely isnt as heavy so id probably be thinking two mags on the weapon.
btw im emailing all the artemis videos ive got.. its 4 of them at about 4.65mb, you should definitely post them. standing 5m from it was scary _________________ www.demon50s.com - Minimoto parts

Testing weapons on large robots is fun. Andrew and I have had a bawl of fun with Vertex's flywheel. Gotta love the chainsaw motor sound and the 2 second spinup of a 22kg flywheel.
Safety though is something that must be taken, Andrew was lucking one day when we were spinning the disc, he mashed the end of his index finger when he was manually adjusting the active brakes on Vertex's flywheel and his finger strayed into a bolt at 110KM/H
Lucky for him it was only a small injury and not his hole finger
mmm, speaking of Vertex, must get Andrew to drag it out the shed and fire the weapon up again, I want to film it again with a decent camera and do some measurements. _________________ https://www.halfdonethings.com/
