Mac people are like that.. They're a minority, so they develop and inferiority complex and compensate for it by believing they are the only ones who have the *one* true computing god.
Get over it you twits. Its just a bloody version of BSD/Unix with a particular flavour of GUI pasted over the top of it.. But they think its the holy grail - its still a corporate owned, proprietary, closed OS with bugs..
and now that they've changed CPU's, you can even get MacOS/X running on your PC hardware if you feel the need for training wheels on your computer.
I talked to a Mac-head about the fact that you can do that, and he still insisted "its just not the same thing though". Presumably the keyboard has to be baptised by Steve Jobs or something to be "The Real Thing".
The biggest problem with Macs ? The evangelistic dicks that own them..
I suppose that could be applied to Linux fanboys as well, but at least in that case, you are going from a closed, corporate-controlled user experience to an open, owned-by-the-public, free operating system.
With MacOs, theres nothing to stop them from "doing a microsoft" at any time and stuffing Version 11 with DRM and any closed channel crap they want to put in there. The only reason they havent so far is because the media moguls have their hands full with the 96% of the desktop users running Windows to worry about a few Fringey MacHeads.
OK, now you've got me ranting.. Like I said Fundamentalists of any type get my goat.. I'll sit down now. _________________ Great minds discuss ideas. Average minds discuss events. Small minds discuss people
