Looks like theres plenty of room in there for more stuff if you want to keep adding to him..
2.4Ghz Wireless Video Camera, TV Tuner card on your computer to receive.
Recharging station (Shaped like a Dog-Food bowl ? that he can drive into and engage a couple of prongs to refill the batteries.
Then a Radio-Tx -> Computer Interface, and some form of position-sensing (GPS ?) unit, and you can map out pre-programmed patrol paths through your house for him to follow in your absence.
Small PA Speaker, Amplifier and a recording of a big dog barking to trigger when someone pushes the doorbell when you're out.
Capture the video signal from the camera and auto-upload to a password protected website (a-la-webcam), add a web-driven remote control interface and you can drive him around the house and look at what he can see from anywhere in the world.
Remote-controlled doggie-doo dispenser and rotary blade/thresher to simulate scratching of the furniture etc - OK, Maybe thats getting a bit silly..
But with a ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle), the possibilities are endless.. and if hes going to be a K9, well you might as well have some of the benefits of owning a dog.. Especially one that has an off-switch !
