Tracks made out of hinges are also called skis.
Your robot can also be used as a hockey puck or bowling ball. _________________ Bots that do not destroy you, only make you stronger.

these are the kind of tracks your after... kinda hard to move or do anything with but damn they are hardcore! (and randomly laying beside the road for some reason)
i figured out how to make a 4 wheeled bot and a wepon in one simply atach a sproket on the back wheels (drive wheels) and the front wheels and put chainsaw chain around them 2 problems solved (o )( o) _________________ WHEN YOU GO TO COURT YOU'RE TRUSTING YOUR FATE TO TWELVE PEOPLE

Cool tank video
But do we have a weight class in Oz it will fit into?
As for using the rubber tank track for armour,
wouldnt it be a bit heavy?
Maybe if you carved up a steel-belted car tyre
it would be pretty axe/spike and impact resistant....
Hmmm, how long since I have had a flat in the car...
Do I REALLY need a spare all the time... _________________ "The future is not set. There is no fate but what WE make."

Tank tracks.... What about if you wanted to keep the bot low. Could this be an application to use them in? Say some timing pulleys, timing belt and glue some rubber onto the belt. Add some extra rollers in between the pulleys to keep to rubber down(on the ground).
Using tank tracks could you keep the height low, but still get a good amount of rubber on the ground?
Or just use small wheels?

Oddly enough have already started building something very similar.
Probably a few weeks away from starting a thread on this. _________________ Bots that do not destroy you, only make you stronger.
