hmmmm aurora, those where the days.
but i mean the last aurora had a 775 motor that would have been like 200w at 12v and it spun its 150g 650mm diameter bar up to 9000rpm in about 3 seconds. very fast and powerful, just kept busting itself.
wonder if it is possible to get a blade over the sound barrier..... new thread comin up
I believe using a hobby nitro engine to power a blade over the sound barrier _________________ https://www.halfdonethings.com/

ok well after "illegally" dumping crap out the back from my shed yesterday i came accross a fair few belts and pullys and stuff that i can use this little motor with a capacitor especially caught my attention well after running all the motors off a flat 18v drill pack i decided to attach em to the charger for it lol and well lets say after about 1 min of running it under the charger the cap blew almost off the rest of it (the cover)closly followed by a shytload of smoke and i thought it was the motor but no after the cap blew it span faster and after about 10 min of running off the charger it was ... well lets say a bit warm but the disk i was using (also found with 2 pullys (1 on the shaft and one on the disc itsself) well with the big one (on the disk) it spins fairly fast but i decided that i would try the smaller shaft mounted one and by george it took a decant 10 sec to spin up but once it was there i started to lift off the table top's screw end untill it jumped outta my grip into the air and started to do a real nice top effect on the table well after watching it for a moment i decided i would try and spin it again but when i went to grab it it fell off the table and landed on the carpet but did not stop while the shaft was spinning on the carpet it started to "rome" around on the floor VERY amusing so it looks like i have a newer better more improved motor for the weopon im more than happy with it now tome to find what to mount it on and the drive system "looks up at crappillion and the other cybot for their drives" maby a 4 cybot drivehorizontal spinner just to get some modified wheels maby some foam ones or then again i could get a set of them twin gearboxes or 2 and make it up with themi shall see
[sidenote] after 10 min of cooling its only just at room temp [/sidenote] _________________ as a shadow is seen and not heard i am here
