Yep was good but not as good as the first ep but that was mostly due to non sportsmanship of the competitors ….what was the go with the MIT kids getting all shitty? They were doing well then got flipped in the last second…did they seriously think that they were going to self right in one sec on if the other guy wasn't there. That was a bad look…that would never happen here.
Last rights guy clobbers a defenceless robot two extra times after first hit took out the bot…looked great though ha ha.
The entanglement net was cleaver if its not in their rules …but everyone knows we would rather see sparks than nets.
The show side of things works really well. It seems so good its like it didn't have a twenty year break from tv _________________ Miles Blow - Julie Pitts

Ray & Last Rites did what they were supposed to do - apparently there is a 'no tap out' rule to make for more dramatic damage. The MIT meltdown was really unprofessional; a quiet word to the judges would have been enough. _________________ Australian 2015 Featherweight champion

Yeah and Donalds the nicest looking dude in the world.
Even if that last collision was 1 second after the buzzer, the other movemenets seemed to be him trying to seperate the robots for a brief second while the children spat the dummy.
Shame all them other robots only got one match before being sent home. Would have liked seeing shrederator some more.
Feel bad for sounter revolution. After the first two hits where blades stopped i would have yelled at Ray to leave it be.
Still not keen on british robot, that hammer looks average and frame loooks weak _________________ Andrew Welch, Team Unconventional Robotics

I just found the rules for this season and one part annoys me.
quote:
• Systems can use Nitrogen (N2) gas or compressed air. CO2 cannot be used.
Some guy thinks CO2 freezes in the tank and continues to vent in the pits. True, but that why you leave the bleed valves open. Or maybe it's against flames throwers or fire marshal rules.
Either way my drawings for Huntsman 2 just got shelved. Anyone want to buy some featherweight pneumatics?

Given the choice i would use nitrogen 100% over co2 anyway! Co2 is just so full of annoying downsides that nitrogen doesn't have. _________________ www.demon50s.com - Minimoto parts

So what was Chronic and Bulldog planning to use? I might go and ask on the FRA forum since I thought the FRA didn't like nitrogen.

Kronic is rebuilt to run nitrogen - they have pictures of the n2 bottle in their facebook page, i have no idea on bulldog. Can't imagine there is much to it, just stick the HPA bottle in with a regulator and the rest can stay the same. _________________ www.demon50s.com - Minimoto parts

It was a lot more than a second or two. If you actually watch the video, the fight ended at 4:18 and at 4:35 Don finally let off the controls only after one of the founders of BattleBots came over and stopped him. The initial contact was a good 2-3 seconds after the buzzer on its own.
Late hit and the continued dragging was absolutely uncalled for. If the bots are stuck, wait for the ref/bot wrangler to tell you it's ok to try and separate.
Beyond that, when the fight's over, it's over and it's 100% the responsibility of the driver and team to be aware of that.

+1.
Mr Hudson should have been given a penalty for his failure to comply with event operations (ie: when the buzzer goes off, the fight stops and you stop your robot). _________________ https://www.halfdonethings.com/

Yeah. It appears that they repeat the fight in the next round.
And they'll have Tombstone vs Radioactive.

Regardless if he's a veteran or a first timer, his poor conduct shouldn't be written off with excuses of miscommunication. _________________ https://www.halfdonethings.com/

The dummy spit was much more of a lame moment tbh. You'd think tombstone had torn them a new ass after the bell by the carry on. Too hard to make a subjective call on what happened after the fight, looks like it was edited etc, so we'll just have to take the word of those who were there watching the taping
The pressure cooker environment of a TV taping plus the on / off light being tiny, I'm sure things like this could happen easy.. how many times has it happened here. Many many times.
Couple of other things - how awesome was complete controls flame weapon? That looked like it would melt a few things proper! Real shame it didn't get going in its restart though. Seeing ghost raptor picked up and torched would have been an awesome attack.
Wonder what drives bronco is using? That has some real speed to it! Shame we didn't get to see if flip anything much. Very keen to see what kind of power it has.
Saw that shaman was using a burket valve for the flamethrower, kinda cool
+ Those arena screws are exceptionally over powered. Not sure if i like them or not.. Leaning towards liking them, they aren't an instant out like a pit or arena flip-out area is, but at the same time they're very effective at flipping robots over so they could really spice up the lame wedge fights _________________ www.demon50s.com - Minimoto parts

All robots should be invertible to-what are all these builders thinking? Pretty well built robots not many drive related issues any more which is the most important thing i guess _________________ Miles Blow - Julie Pitts
