Ere goes.
They look a fair bit different now. The clutch locking holes are WAY bigger. maybe m6? There isnt much meat on the outside. Should be okay though.
The motor mounting plate is also very different. The ring gear sits halfway outside the shortened gearbox case and the motor plate goes over the other half to keep them inline. That is a very good change as most of my old drills would need new cases once the locating pin wore off and the screw holes flogged out a bit.
Mounting the lot may be a little more tricky because the back of the gearbox wont butt up to the motor mount with that odd shaped attachment.
Can't recall what size shaft the motors use but it might be smaller. Has a flat ont he shaft and gear. Could be really handy for swapping motors.

Is that 18v kmart Glen? The 12v ones I've bought have the old-style gearbox (same as that in the drill hacking tutorial) and work perfectly with the same 3D printed mount.
Prog was selling a bunch of Ozito gearboxes for $5-10 in the marketplace section.
Also Hobbyking. That is all.
Don't even bother with local hobby shop. 6 Channel hobbyking radio is $25 you will need the 6ch not 4ch and a programming cable $3. Think most of us use them.
30As will run them but for longevity I would suggest going a 85A.
It will cost you a bit more upfront but when you want to run 4 drills, Dewalts, 300W scooter motors or something big in the future it will be much happier doing it than the 30A.
