Cool, good start on a thread!
Just some things to point out:
The weapon motor - Those are seriously powerful outrunners, but you'll have to take great care in mounting it securely, glen has gone through at least 5 of those types, and one in orbit broke after the first hit! The inrunners have proven more reliable but only just.
However way you go about it, you'll need a larger reduction than that by far, fbs's still have a superior KE in general because of the sheer mass, I'd aim for at least 4:1 and if that doesn't burn out, try 3:1 later on...
What batteries are you planning on using? If you're going for A123,s you should get away with just 6 or 7 cells to run the lot. I don't actually think you can run packs like that (both series AND parallel), I might have mislead you on that one
I'll be starting a new spinner thread very soon and doing a total costing on it (for my gf of all people lol), so it should be a good taste of what you're getting yourself into starting with a spinner. Good luck! _________________ ( •_•)
